Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

This course teaches beginners how to think like a working photographer inside Lightroom — not just which sliders to move, but why and in what order. You will build a catalog structure from scratch, develop a personal editing style through presets, master batch processing for high-volume shoots, and set up export presets for every delivery scenario. Every lesson uses real-world examples drawn from portrait, landscape, and commercial photography contexts.

Learning Outcomes

What the learner should be able to understand, build, or execute.

01

Build a Lightroom catalog with folder hierarchies, smart collections, and keyword taxonomy that scales to 100 000+ images

02

Apply the Lightroom editing order (exposure → white balance → tone curve → HSL → detail → lens corrections) consistently across shoot types

03

Create, package, and sell custom development presets that encode a personal or brand-consistent aesthetic

04

Batch-edit 500-image shoots using sync settings, auto-sync, and copy-paste develop settings in under 30 minutes

05

Configure named export presets for web delivery (sRGB 2048 px, 85 quality), print (Adobe RGB, 300 dpi), and client proofing

06

Use Lightroom's output modules — slideshows, print layouts, and web galleries — to deliver polished client packages
