Course Overview

What this course is designed to develop

Most adults read at 200–250 words per minute — the same rate they learned in elementary school. This course teaches proven eye-movement training, chunking, and metacognitive strategies used by competitive readers and executives to read at 400–600 wpm with equal or better comprehension. You will practice with real texts, track your progress with baseline and post-training assessments, and build a sustainable daily reading system.

Learning Outcomes

What the learner should be able to understand, build, or execute.

01

Measure your current reading speed and comprehension baseline using standardized passages

02

Eliminate subvocalization and regression habits that cap reading speed below 300 wpm

03

Apply chunking and peripheral-span training to read 3–5 words per fixation instead of one

04

Use pre-reading and active recall frameworks to improve retention of dense non-fiction

05

Build a personal reading stack and daily practice system to sustain speed gains over time

06

Adapt reading strategy by material type — skimming, scanning, deep reading, and study reading

Module 1

Module 1: Diagnosing Your Reading Habits

Establish a precise baseline — reading speed, comprehension rate, and the specific habits (subvocalization, regression, narrow fixation) that are limiting you. You cannot improve what you have not measured.
